Following the previous successful collaboration with the British International School of Timisoara, SB Labs will manufacture and supply laboratory furniture for a new school lab.
SB Labs have previously worked with Ciprian Tiplea, the Head of the school and BIST four years ago when we designed, manufactured, and installed the furniture for their modern science laboratory. Located in a state-of-the-art, newly renovated historical building, the lab includes our popular Saturn & Mercury furniture system, featured in the picture above.
Since its opening in 2019, the British International School of Timisoara has already achieved national and international accreditations, including becoming a COBIS Accredited Member. With their resounding success and tremendous interest from both students and parents, it’s no wonder that the school is expanding its campus to accommodate the growing number of students.
The new laboratory, scheduled to be completed this summer, consists of STEM islands with integrated storage, a Saturn workstation, and a teacher’s desk. The project also includes a new Prep Room that offers additional storage space and working surfaces necessary for staff preparation for theoretical and practical lessons.
SB Labs collaborated with Diana Calfa and her amazing team at Morphoza, a group of interior designers dedicated to bringing international standards to educational spaces in Romania.
The project is managed by Alexandru Mocanu and Mulberry Development, an award-winning real estate development firm committed to leading the market and making a positive impact on local communities.
The school lab furniture will be manufactured in our factory in Manchester, UK, and it will be shipped to Timisoara, Romania, where it will be installed by a local team.
