Wellington College Prep, formerly known as Eagle House, is part of the prestigious Wellington College Group, which has owned the school since 1968. Situated in 32 acres of Berkshire countryside, the school offers outstanding facilities for children aged 3-13. Founded in 1820, Wellington College Prep celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2020, making it one of the oldest prep schools in the UK.

As part of a broad investment strategy by Wellington College to bring innovative learning spaces into the prep school, Wellington College Prep refurbished two of its science labs to provide large, practical working spaces that combine functionality with modern design. The goal was to create durable, highly efficient learning environments that also deliver the ‘Wow’ factor.

The refurbished labs feature SpaceStation and Saturn workstations with Corian worktops and moulded turrets that house gas and electrical services. Low-energy LED turrets can be turned on or off to add a striking visual element to the student workstations. Sink covers maximise workspace when sinks are not in use.

The labs also include teacher demonstration desks, bespoke perimeter benching, and tall storage units. Designed by SB Labs UK and installed by Labform, these state-of-the-art labs combine functionality with innovation, creating a modern, inspiring space for hands-on science learning, while preparing students for a smooth transition to senior education.
