Shrewsbury International School is a well-established and highly successful school that sets the benchmark for international schooling in Thailand and a member of FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia ).

SB Labs, in collaboration with Charleston Scientific International, our agent in Thailand, designed, manufactured and installed bespoke furniture systems and fume cupboards to 18 science laboratories and 3 preparation rooms, as part of the school’s “Project 2021”, an ambitious 4-year, 1.1 billion THB construction project.

The design of the Innovation building, a purpose-designed and future-proofed space for STEM subjects, was informed by best practice examples from top UK and US college, university and independent school environments. The process was conducted in collaboration with alumni, current students, teacher and parent stakeholders.

The high specification labs, each with an average of 120 sqm, feature bespoke island benches with incorporated storage as well as our popular Saturn and Mercury System, teacher’s demo desks and Teaching Walls.

All working surfaces are made from seamlessly jointed and easy-to-maintain Corian surfaces and fitted with Broen gas and water taps.
